Bioenergy Ribose®  is a bioactive ingredient widely used in foods and beverages as an energy enhancing nutraceutical, accelerating energy recovery and decreasing fatigue.  It is also the active ingredient in a number of dietary supplements sold in the United States and around the world.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Ribose is the vital structural backbone of ATP (adenosine tri phosphate) the compound that is the energy currency for all cellular functions as well as  critical cellular compounds including RNA and DNA.  Ribose is the starting point for the synthesis of these fundamental cellular compounds, and the availability of ribose determines the rate at which they can be made by our cells and tissues. The heart’s ability to maintain energy is limited by one thing: the availability of RIBOSE.

Food Applications

Although Bioenergy Ribose®  is a five-carbon monosaccharide, it does not raise blood sugar, making it a good carbohydrate to use in food and beverage formulation. It is highly soluble in either hot or cold solutions and tastes slightly sweet.

Recommended daily dosage

For energy enhancement, ½ to 1 teaspoon (about 2 – 5 grams) is generally adequate.
For extended exercise, an additional 1 – 2 grams per hour of exercise or activity may be helpful.
