Product Information

• 24-Hour Immune Protection
A clinical study showed that Ester-C^® increased vitamin C levels in the body for up to 24 hours ⁽¹⁾. White blood cell levels of Vitamin C were elevated in subjects receiving Ester-C® when measured 24 hours after initial dose. The presence of key metabolites such as threonate has been shown to be responsible for this increased level and retention of Vitamin C by the cells.

• Advanced Immune Protection
Ester-C’s unique chemical composition promotes absorption and delayed excretion of vitamin C, as demonstrated by a laboratory study that found
that Ester-C can increase the levels of vitamin C within immune cells. In a 60 day study of 168 participants, 84 subjects were given Ester-C and 84 subjects were given a placebo. At the end of the study, subjects receiving Ester-C had significantly fewer reports of decreased well-being and immune system health compared to the placebo group⁽²⁾

• Non-Acidic and Gentle on the Stomach
In a published study, individuals sensitive to acidic foods were given one gram of vitamin C as ascorbic acid or as Ester-C^®. Subjects reported heartburn “significantly more frequent and severe after intake of ascorbic acid” and subjects rated Ester-C^® as tolerated “very good” significantly more than ascorbic acid ⁽³⁾
